Twenty / Twenty Beauty X Kase

Scaling a beauty brand is rarely just about demand…it’s about precision. From inventory freshness and temperature control to custom bundles and subscription workflows, fulfillment becomes increasingly complex as brands grow across channels.

For Twenty / Twenty Beauty, a cosmetics brand built for sensitive eyes, those details matter even more. As the company expanded across DTC, Amazon, and wholesale distribution to independent eye doctor practices, it needed a fulfillment partner that could treat a young, emerging brand with the same care and urgency as an established one.

That partner was Kase.

With the help of Kase's expert fulfillment team, Twenty / Twenty Beauty achieved:

Twenty / Twenty Beauty: Where eye health meets beauty

Founded by Dr. Diane Hilal-Campo, Twenty / Twenty Beauty is the first ophthalmologist-developed beauty brand, created to address a problem Dr. Hilal-Campo saw firsthand in her medical practice: patients experiencing eye irritation caused by conventional cosmetic ingredients.

The brand focuses on ocular-safe, wellness-forward products designed especially for contact lens wearers and customers
with sensitive eyes. Today, Twenty / Twenty Beauty sells direct-to-consumer through its own website, on Amazon, and through independent eye doctor practices nationwide.

A sudden disruption, and the search for the right partner

Like many emerging brands, Twenty / Twenty Beauty’s fulfillment journey wasn’t linear. After their previous 3PL was acquired and canceled their contract, the team needed a new partner. And fast.

But this wasn’t just about replacing a warehouse. It was about finding a long-term partner willing to support a small but growing brand across multiple channels, with an eye toward future expansion.

“We were looking for someone who could handle a brand of our size and help us across DTC, Amazon, and wholesale,” Karen Wangen, Head of Brand and Operations, said. “I was looking not just for our current needs, but our future plans as well.”

After speaking with several providers, a trusted partner recommended Kase, and the decision quickly became clear.

We were looking for someone who could handle a brand of our size and help us across DTC, Amazon, and wholesale. I was looking not just for our current needs, but our future plans as well.

A seamless transition with hands-on support

From onboarding through go-live, the transition to Kase was intentionally structured and highly collaborative. The Kase team provided clear work instructions, one-on-one walkthroughs, and responsive support that made the switch feel manageable, even during a period of disruption.

“The transition was very smooth,” says Wangen. “Every time we had a hiccup, Kase’s customer support responded quickly and helped us work through it.”

On the operational side, Kendra Longoria, Operations Manager, worked closely with Kase’s customer success team to manage daily workflows.

“Kase sent detailed work instructions that I could always refer back to,” Longoria shares.
“If I had questions, I could reach out and get answers right away. It was super easy.”

Operational precision for a sensitive product category

Cosmetics may not carry formal expiration dates, but in practice, freshness and handling matter deeply, especially for ocular products.

Twenty / Twenty Beauty relies on FIFO inventory management, warehouse temperature control, and careful handling to ensure product integrity. “Even though cosmetics don’t technically expire, you don’t sell anything older than three years,” Wangen notes. “FIFO and warehouse conditions were critical factors for us.”

Kase’s systems, processes, and warehouse conditions support these requirements while giving the team confidence that inventory is moving correctly and safely.

Bundling, subscriptions, and customization at scale

As the brand evolved, so did its fulfillment needs. Twenty / Twenty Beauty introduced custom bundles, promotional kits, and a recurring Mystery Gift program, each requiring tight coordination across systems, SKUs, and timing.

“The Mystery Gift promotion took coordination across teams,” explains Karen Wangen, Head of Brand and Operations. “Kase was fantastic. We worked through backend changes together and launched on time.”

Unlike many competitors, Twenty / Twenty Beauty allows customers to choose their shades within bundles, adding complexity but meaningful differentiation. The brand also offers subscriptions for select products, and while subscriptions currently represent a smaller portion of the business, the operational foundation is already in place to scale as demand grows.

Behind the scenes, the Kase platform gives the operations team real-time visibility and control to manage that complexity with confidence.
With the Kase app, I can easily see what’s on backorder or paused, and if a customer wants a different shade, I can change it quickly,” says Longoria. “It’s very simple.”

Measurable wins that matter

Since partnering with Kase, Twenty / Twenty Beauty has seen tangible operational improvements:

  • Order processing time cut by half or more during the transition period
  • Most DTC orders ship next day, consistently beating the promised three-day SLA
  • Wholesale orders fulfilled within three days, with strong accuracy
  • Rapid issue resolution, minimizing customer inquiries and delays

A true partnership, regardless of size

For Wangen, the defining factor in the relationship is how Kase treats a growing brand.

“The keyword is partnership,” she says. “It’s hard
to find a 3PL that wants to collaborate when you’re
small. Kase has treated us the same as bigger
brands—and that means everything.”

That mindset has enabled Twenty / Twenty Beauty to stay focused on brand building, product innovation, and customer care without being pulled into daily fulfillment fire drills.

Looking ahead: Growing together

As Twenty / Twenty Beauty explores international opportunities, retail expansion, and new product launches, Kase remains a critical part of the roadmap.

“My expectation is to continue the partnership and grow together,” Wangen says simply.

When asked about the partnership with Kase, she said, “Everything that we have experienced has been positive. Kase helps us identify issues, and we work together as partners to solve them. I can’t ask for anything more than that.”

With flexible systems, responsive support, and a shared long-term view, the partnership is positioned to scale alongside the brand: clearly, carefully, and with purpose.
